Is your goal a breakfast that is delicious – yet plant-based – and is also nourishing to your body? Well, it’s time to stop roaming, the vegan chia pudding is here – a delicacy no one can resist!
I do love chia pudding very much and I admire the health benefits which chia offers. Is then, what cleansing alternative do you prefer in a natural way?Eat chia pudding! To produce the signature texture of the pudding, chia seeds absorb liquid until they become gel-like. They do not only provide the pudding with its signature texture but also they keep you energized throughout the morning by providing a sustained release of energy. However, chia pudding ain’t my favorite, but I like it for its texture, and I need more ways to eat it. So that’s why this vegan chia pudding has a piña colada taste.
I have a way of making vegan chia pudding with coconut milk too but unlike the regular yogurt which is often made with dairy I have a nondairy version. The recipe I post below yields two 8 oz jars, but you can easily multiply or half the base recipe & keep a container of the chia pudding & your fridge all week. Then make several different ones with many other fruit, nuts, seeds or any nut butter of your liking.
what you require to make vigin chia pudding.
-whole black chia and white chia seeds
-nondairy milk
-optional add-ins:
canned crushed pineapple
–lime juice & zest
–toasted coconut chips
–mint
–lime wedges
I have added pineapple to the mixture to make it sweeter so you can either use some other fruit for doing that or some maple syrup/ agave nectar to sweeten it more. In case any liquid flavors are preferred they should be added to the nondairy milk and chia. Then it will thicken once it’s refrigerated overnight, which is basically where the flavors will develop further.
With the addition of the mixture overnight you’ll have vegan chia pudding, thick and set. It is now ready to be a part of any breakfast food that you are craving.
You can add the pudding to your oatmeal or overnight oats, to the fruit salad bowl, or even refridger ninate it and mix it in a smoothie if you get bored of eating it on its own. Want to add cream cheese in your overnight oats and need inspiration? Check out my recipes for cherry pie overnight oats or maple peach pecan overnight oats.
